Evonne Sullivan is a Registered Yoga Teacher specializing in trauma-informed yoga, mindfulness and meditation for mental health and/or addiction recovery. Through her Yoga for Wellness & Recovery program andEvonneSullivan.com she facilitates mental health, wellness and recovery groups, as well as working within organizations, businesses, treatment centres, education, healthcare, conferences and special events. Evonne is partnered with CAMH Foundation teaching at The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
Evonne has trained with Yoga of Recovery, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, LifeForce Yoga for Depression and Anxiety,Yoga of 12-Step Recovery and Recovery 2.0. She holds an Honours BA from the University of Guelph, a Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from George Brown College and is a Certified Human Resources Leader. She creates a supportive, trauma-informed environment for mind-body health and healing. Her teachings are applicable to individuals, families, supporters and professionals.
As a person in long-term recovery, her regular yoga practice is fundamental in her ability to manage challenges with anxiety and depression. She credits her health, wellness and sobriety to living consciously and in touch with the mind-body connection. In her work life, personal life and within communities, Evonne is a strong advocate for mental health awareness and helps to break the stigma surrounding addiction.

Session Description
Trauma-Informed Yoga
Focusing on the relationship between mood management and the mind-body connection, sessions offer a combination of breathing, movement, postures, mindfulness and music. Participants will explore the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits of a yoga practice. Sessions are for all levels; providing options for beginners to regular practitioners.
Improving the mental, psychological and cognitive well-being in both adults and adolescents, yoga is gaining popularity as part of an effective treatment plan for various conditions and disorders, including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, ptsd and addiction. All sessions are trauma-informed and based upon mental health sensitivity.
